EMEA Alliance Manager Anaplan

Your journey

You will have a breadth of responsibilities which are prioritized together with the alliance leadership team. Your direct line of reporting will be to the EMEA Lead Alliance Partner, but equally you will interact with the various country leaders on both the company and Anaplan side.

Your activities

Relationship Management

  • Establish, manage and strengthen relationships between this company and Anaplan;
  • Work with this company and Anaplan leaders to understand key objectives for the alliance;
  • Organize and participate in coordination between the America’s, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

Creating Opportunity

  • Explain to internal stakeholders (service offering, other alliance, client and industry leaders) how the Anaplan platform can create value for their business;
  • Drive conversations around how different alliances can combine to deliver even more value for their customers, in close collaboration with the other EMEA (and local) alliance managers.

Pipeline Management

  • Work with the alliance team to maintain an accurate sales pipeline;
  • Own and drive all aspects of pipeline reporting, bringing key metrics to the alliance team and key stakeholders;
  • Ensure that a pipeline management cadence is occurring regularly within this company as well as with Anaplan.

Marketing Coordination

  • Work closely with the Anaplan’s marketing team as well as the internal stakeholders to create a marketing plan that supports the shared alliance objectives;
  • Provide support and oversight to the execution of the marketing campaign and key events.

Alliance Operations

  • Act as “Chief Operating Officer” of the alliance;
  • Help to define and then oversee execution of the strategic alliance plan; 
  • Keep an up-to-date view of the business plan;
  • Enable better penetration of geographies, industries and accounts; 
  • Keep track of capabilities (people & certifications) and measuring achievement of the financial and other goals for the alliance (reporting).

Practice Communications
Manage alliance communications, in close collaboration with the EMEA Lead Alliance Partner and Anaplan.

About you

You will report directly to the EMEA Lead Alliance Partner, who has a track record of entrepreneurship and growing and coaching his teams through many years at the firm. You are someone with:

  • +4 years relevant professional experience in a similar or related role, ideally with an affinity for consulting or professional services. Demonstrated ability to work with software vendors is a strong plus;
  • Previous experience with Anaplan or legacy planning solutions (SAP, Oracle, IBM, other), either as a customer, consultant or within one of these organizations, is an asset;
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders, including senior level executives, alliance managers, consulting resources and sales representatives;
  • Fluent in English. In addition any language skills in Dutch, French or German are highly valued. Direct interaction with the Lead Alliance Partner will be in English or Dutch;
  • Willingness to do normal business travel is required. Much of the role can and will be done remotely, however key conferences, customer events, Quarterly Business Reviews (i.e. alliance meetings), etc. may be offsite. Includes some cross-continental travel (max 1-2x per year);
  • Navigating complex organizations and connecting the right people within each organization (natural networker);
  • Ability to think strategically, while staying focused on monitoring the progress of action items and bringing them to conclusion within appropriate time frames;
  • Ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders to develop joint go-to-market sales and solution opportunities;
  • Team player. Sharing knowledge and supporting teammates in times of increased workload;
  • Organized and self-sufficient, entrepreneurial;
  • Convincing communication skills through oral, written, and formal presentation mediums.
